Following the recent rise of Republican and Tea Party followers, it seems that the Obama campaign is starting to regain momentum again. President Obama couldn't ask for better timing as he soon will begin to campaign for re-election. Until recently, many Republicans as well as Democrats weren't very enthusiastic on the job of President Obama, but now many Democratic candidates have been publicly backing his decisions. Due to a recent surge of social issues being pursued by the Republicans (instead of fixing our economic problems) and also to the economy showing some positive signs of improvement, Obama looks to be gaining momentum back for the Democrats. Add this to Obamas unbelievable campaigning skills and the uncertainty of the Republican party's representation and we could see him another four years. For the Republicans, it appears that either Santorum or Gingrich would need to drop out to have any chance of catching Romney. Regardless, this should be an interesting election.

Obama's campaign for re-election is definitely strong. This morning I even received an email from them apologizing for disrupting my Saturday, but that I needed to be aware of one of Sarah Palin's comments accusing Obama of discrimination - direct with a link to his contribution website asking for my money. This election cycle does present an interesting situation where the incumbent doesn't really have strong GOP candidates running against him (at least any that could undoubtedly beat him). I agree with you, in that momentum has been building for Obama, we'll have to see if he can maintain it though in the event that Romney does gain some himself.
If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s the fact that Obama campaign is the most polish of any we’ve ever seen. Not only that, but the people that they recruit are all top notch. As an example, I’ll use the 2008 election. There was a certain day I got a call from both John McCain’s and Barack Obama’s campaign staff. As a fierce Independent, I politely told both people on the other end that I had not decided whom I was going to vote for. The person calling for John McCain muttered something under his breath, and then proceeded to hang up the phone. The person calling for Obama, however, actually took the time to talk to me and ask about the issues important to me. It’s the ability to relate to the average American that will determine this election and I think the president is light years ahead of his Republican counter-parts.
I don't get to vote in this country, but I feel like the Obama's campaign does a much better job at asking people for their opinion, and paying attention to them; which could be a very important feature for success. I also feel that if Obama runs against Mitt Romney, it would be a easy victory for Obama. Romney is a candidate with no appeal to the Republican ideological base, and that not be very appealing to the independent voters because of how his political views have changed now that he is running for the republican nomination. He suddenly changed from being a pragmatic governor, to being a very conservative candidate. It seems like Obama is going to have an easy win in the upcoming election
